On Wednesday the 16th July Novacorr Healthcare received an official visit from The Federal member for Fisher, The Hon Mal Brough. MP & The Minister for Industry and Science, The Hon Ian Macfarlane. MP.
News channels followed, (Channel 9, View Media, Sunshine Coast Daily), additionally, earlier on in the day we had also been visited by channel 7!
The majority of our team were filmed/interviewed, including the company owners Nova & Keith Atkinson, their daughter Sally, Son in law Marcus, Son Josh, Nephew Mark, Nephews girlfriend Stacie and long serving colleague and friend Paul, who all partake in some way to the running of the family business. It was all very exciting and we as a team were looking forward to demonstrating a few of our new products and allowing the public to witness what we are achieving here at Novacorr.
Both officials took a keen interest in our products, but in particular our new Huntington’s disease bed, designed for those suffering from the disease to sleep safely and more comfortably. Mr Brough & Mr Macfarlane both explained how they too, were once small businessmen and how they understood the struggles and strife businesses have to go through for day to day survival. With this mutual respect and an empathetic view as to what we are doing here at Novacorr Healthcare for the vulnerable, the officials couldn’t have made their support any clearer. In fact they were so impressed with our Huntington’s bed that they discussed with us the prospect of putting Novacorr forward for a small business grant as well as gathering contacts to work with us via the ‘entrepreneur infrastructure program’. Meaning we will hopefully be able to dispense our product to those in need all over the world!
